Yard Sign Misinformation
Published: July 31, 2023
We are aware of signage being placed across the community accusing a Board member of theft. The Association would like to take this opportunity to clear the facts. The claim made by the sign stating that the Board member engaged in theft is entirely false. No Board member has stolen a bike from a resident as alleged in the sign.
The Association took action on a deed restriction violation, after an owner received multiple letters over two years, for violating the dedicatory instruments that govern all homes in the community. To maintain the value of the community, the Board took action as authorized in the dedicatory instruments of the Association that complied with the dedicatory instruments, the enforcement and fine policies. While the Board takes no joy in enforcement actions, such actions are necessary to maintain the value of the community.
We understand there may be times when a community member may disagree with the Board’s decision. However, harassment of any individual Board member for a decision taken by the Board as a whole does not create a forum for solutions, only conflict. We urge all residents to raise any concerns at a duly called meeting and avoid any action that would harass individual board members.
