Culvert Cleanout
Published: June 17, 2023
Starting as early as next week, the City of Anna Public Works department will be working in our community to assist with cleaning out our various culverts. Culverts are the drainage tunnels that run beneath our roadways in the community. The work may be delayed if we continue to experience rainy weather.
Please be aware the dirt and sediment that is removed will need to sit out for a week or two to allow it to dry before being hauled away. This drying time is necessary to reduce the weight of the debris being removed to prevent damage to the removal trucks. You may see piles of debris and sediment around the community while it continues to dry out. Once dry, the Public Works department will return to remove the piles of debris and sediment.
We understand these piles of debris and sediment will be an “eye sore” but this is a necessary step in getting our stormwater drainage areas corrected.
